Fouad, Hope you had fun, where was that? Near Sharm El Sheik or Ayn Sukhna? Mark - mods? Looks like a Jeep liberty with a Dodge caravan front. Is it still meant to go offroad? ;D

Hey Jimbo, After the Gulf News Overnighter, the real question might be, does it have any towing hooks

Yeah the drive was in Sharm El Sheikh (Sinai Peninsula-Egypt). Well there are many improvements ...and drawbacks. lemme begin with the drawbacks : it's HEAVIER, whoaaa, much more heavier than the previous one + the front end is too low, kinda like the Trailblazer (low front, raised rear) . the 3rd drawback is the huge forward bumper, it takes a lot from the approach angle. The good improvements are mainly in the strong I MEAN REALLY POWERFUL engine, it's a HEMI, if you know HEMIs you know what I mean. the increase of weight is not so much a problem because the increase of power compensates beyond the increase of weight. i.e. the current engine and vehicle weight combination is much more stronger than the previous engine/vehicle weight combination, inspite the fact that the previous model is lighter. The other improvement is the voil suspension as you mentioned Mark. it's much more better. The interior has been improved DRASTICALLY, I really like the interior, the plastic material has been improved (hardened and tight-fixed) the chrome adds a touch of class as well as the white faced gages, same gages as the Chrysler 300 if you know that car. Another major improvement as well is the AC noise (reduced) and it's dual front and rear AC and it's VERY performant, Jeep-DOdge were known in the past to have a lousy AC, the new Durango features a new generation AC for Dodges, anyway I am not going to write the whole review here, you'll have to read it in the magazine Summary : forget what you know about the old Dodge, this is a completely new vehicle. but needs a little front lift to be a perfect offroader. Fouad
