I got 265/70-16 on mine (Pajero), know that 275/70-16 (great for Patrol) are also available. Around 450 Dhs ea. Go to Emarat Tyre Express on AlWasl close to Post Office they deserve it 'cause they're good.

Hi Fouad, The only complain I have on the KO's is the sound they generate, which is not really too noisy, additionally they do work better on lighter trucks than the Patrol. Though they did great job when offroading in Leb with the Rover guys. I already lost one of them in KSA while returning from Leb. and had to buy a replacement. I had to get the Dunlop Grandtrek as no much choices in the desert Now I am left with three KO's, two Duelers H/T and one Grand Trek hehehehehehe. The Macadams should float better and are much smoother/quieter on the road. This would be on the account of the better look and bigger size I have on the KO's (285/75R16). I have to compromise. Your expert technical advise is very much appreciated too. cheers

Well !!! based on your strange choice of tyre combination, I dont know what to say, hehehe Seriously, although I prefer the KOs myself, but I guess I can only recommend what is suitable for each type of application. in your case, you have done everything right, nothing to add from my part. Yes the Macadams are quieter due to the KO's aggressive threads. Before I installed the BFG KO, I used to have BFG "Longtrail" which is almost like the Macadam but made in USA (the Macadams are made in Europe not the US, Ireland if I am not mistaken). The "Longtrail" is not sold here and they were installed on my Blazer as its OEM tyres. My only concern on the Macadam is its performance in the rocky terrain mountains where the rocks are very sharp. You're ok if you keep to mountain tracks, but real offroad rocky areas, you might wear the tyres much more faster than any other terrain (specially the sides). After a few trips to the mountains I got a few bruises and cuts on the sidewalls of my old tyres, but on the KOs, they have thicker threads even on the sides which makes them irresistable to "side cuts" of sharp rocks. But if you keep the soft desert sand, the Macadam may have a superior performance on sand than the KOs. To summarize : the KO grips well, the Mcadams float well. Fouad

Well guys - I bought my Jeep Wrangler with BRIDGSTONE desert dueller and after going many times to the sand and driving on road for a couple of month, I found that my car is heavy in moving on road and on sand too. After asking friends who goes normally to sand dunes and on road too, all advice me to replace my tyres with Michelin Syncrone and for my Wrangler I choose 255/75/15 and found the difference in acceleration cause the car feels lighter and easy going, rather than B4 it was a bit slower and braking better too. Moreover, in sands it felt easy going too and nothing can stop it . So if you're looking for tyres, don't buy anything else than MICHELIN. By the way, I don't work for MICHELIN
