Guys, We are given a special task to carry out during the upcoming UAE Desert Challenge 2003. We have to carry out this duty professionally. It involves a lot of fun and no special skills. Don't worry it's not part of the sweep team and it's not marshalling. It's something else. but it does involve doing most of the race route, with a certain degree of freedom to maneuvre. I need 10 cars/drivers with the following criterias : 1- Be able to avail himself from the friday the 17th of october to the 24th (last day of the race. NO INTERRUPTIONS. 2- Have a fair amount of offroad skills, you will be divided into teams of two cars to carry the tasks at hand. regroup at the bivouac in the evening, or sleep at the campsite, depends on the planing we do. You will work with me throughout the event, we work as a team on this, and we are given the freedom to plan and execute the way we want. with all the benefits of regualr marshals and PC chiefs (fuel, food, sleep areas...etc) except we are not marshalling. Those who are interested and ready to COMMIT their time to this (please no abcking out at the last minute). Kindly send me a Private message or e-mail me. Once we have sufficient amount of people required, I wil hold a meeting for "our team" and we will discuss in details the task required and plan the appropriate method of implementation. we decide, plan and implement collectively. THERE'S A LOT OF FUN INVOLVED, I promise you that. Meeting expected to be around the first 10 days of next month, somewhere in Dubai maybe the irish village ? Fouad

Yes you have to bring your own car Let me clarify this point for all volunteers. In the past, DC used to hand over cars for special tasks to some select volunteers, and the cars would be returned in horrible conditions. It's fun to blaze through the dunes in a car that's not yours, isn't it ? Would you drive the same way in your own car ? of course not. So DC had to change a few rules, if you REALLY want to volunteer, you'll have to do that using your own car. If you're still interested, I'll put you through to Richard Taylor who's the chief marshall. Fouad
