Guys,
Desert Challenge have a special requirement, I am quoting their message :
We are looking for people who meet the following characteristics:
Experienced off road driver Can be left on own in desert without supervision Own suitable GPS (preferably Garmin) and know how to use it Own suitable recovery gear, bungy straps etc Own suitable vehicle and prepared to use that during the event for the Sweep Team Available for all days of the event Available prior to the event to acquire knowledge of route Prepared to drive long hours, if required, but hopefully this won't be the case this year.
We are looking for people to lead the rear sweeps (ie the bike collecting teams). This involves sweeping the route as the last vehicle with a pickup truck and guiding the pick up truck to the exact location of the bike and then loading the bike onto the truck, which is quite hard work. Sometimes these are off route and appropriate navigation skills are needed to get to the bike, recover it and then get back on route, without getting bogged down too many times. The quicker we get the bikes back to the bivi the better.
We are also looking for people to act as "Wing Man" to the other Forward Sweep drivers. ie these drivers act as back up and carry the Medic. The lead car does just that, leads the way, but if he gets bogged down then the "Wing Man" has to be suitably skilled to recover the lead car. So it is someone with a fair amount of offroad expertise we are looking for.
So Guys, those who are interested please e-mail me privately so I can put you through the correct people. Or send me a PM on this board.

I know already, I tried to have Al Dhabi on my Team, John said no , he has something already arranged for you, he's quite impressed with the Dhabi. I was the first to show him your brochures. he got hooked on it . I shouldn't have done that, would have kept you on my team Fouad
