Hi all, Since I've been looking for a 4x4 car for a long time trying wrangler, Land Cru and Patrol ,which are the most known cars on dunes, after ma dear TAHOE. I can't find something like Tahoe!!! You would ask why I am writing about that!!! Couz I always hear and read people talk about how good Toyota and other cars in off-roads and they never mention ma dear TAHOE . My Tahoe was 1999 2dr's. That car is powerful. Last week I had the chance to drive the new model and I found out why people don't like Tahoe. Simply they still never understand what that car can do. When u start talking about how great TAHOE on the dunes before u end ur sentence the guys jump on u saying " ohhhhhhhh, it's too heavy and sinks in sands easily” and I need to answer them all. Since I had my share of trips with that monster I discovered that the only time u get stuck with that car is on straight leveled sand ONLY. Due to the weight of course, u only have to push the gas a lil' more nothing more and nothing less. Also, the other thing is the wheels. When u buy it, the 1st thing to do is to get bigger wheels couz that 245/70 R16 ain't working and will never do. BTW don't u ever think of use’ in the 900 sand tires couz on streets that car will burn till tiers smokes. Gearbox, u can't find anything to talk about when it comes to that. It's PERFECT unlike some jeeps . Go Tahoe Go Tahoe ... Regards, H. Al Safi

True, I agree with you Hussein, I have seen your Tahoe on many occasions, it was a good car. Yes the Tahoe's problem is OEM tires, 245R16 ?? I had 245R16 on my wife's Pathfinder and I changed them to 255. so you can imagine the Tahoe and all its weight resting on 245s ? no way.
A little lift and 285 tires and the Tahoe is ready to go.
